Derek was looking for a booty-call house investment property in the Maryland area for cutting down on all those hotels. Yes, a house was somehow the better investment. Just don't ask why rich people do these things. Or why Teen Wolf characters do anything. Just accept it and move on.

On one hand, he wasn't looking for an abandoned shack to lurk in. On the other, he hadn't hired a real estate agent to keep him away from the really shitty properties yet.

That would be why he was looking at a house that had probably been very nice fifty years ago. And frowning at the listing. "This says it has character."

"Good point," Stiles said. "Could be a diamond in the rough."

"Exactly," Derek replied, growing out a claw to work on the strange real estate lock in the door.

His life of crime started with you, Stiles. Clearly.

Once it popped open, he was just as surprised as anyone that it actually worked.

"Did I ever tell you that I find B&E a big turn on?" he asked, crowding up behind Derek.

"How are you going to be a cop in that case?" Derek asked, reaching back to pull him in after him into the still ugly on the inside house.

"I'm not going to be a cop, I'm going to be a detective," he said. "I show up after the crime already happens."

"And that dampers your arousal?" Don't make him get jealous of future criminals. He so would.

[robinonadderall]

"Yeah, I have to be right there to catch them in the act," he joked.

Derek oooed at that appreciatively. "So, are you going to frisk me now that you've caught me in the act?"

Derek, no.

Stiles chuckled. "Why, do you have some paraphernalia you're worried about me finding?"

"Paraphernalia?" Though the answer was yes. Because Derek had just taken to bringing lube with him whenever he was going to see Stiles. It was easier that way.

"You know, illegal--" Stiles paused when he finally took a good look at the interior of the house. "This place is hideous."

"It should be illegal," Derek teased.

[robinonadderall]

"That's so lame," he said, attempting to push Derek against the law. "Dad joke lame."

Derek gave him an affronted look, stumbling back obligingly. "It was funny!"

"Was not," he murmured, leaning in to kiss him.

[justlurkinghere]

"Was totally funny," Derek mumbled as he kissed back. He wrapped his arms around Stiles' waist to keep him nice and close and unable to escape the dad jokes.

Stiles was willing to deal being trapped like this, even with dad jokes. He ran his hands down Derek's back until they settled against his ass to give him a nice decent grope.

Which was so polite and chaste.

Much like their usual interactions!

"Just think," Derek said, tilting his head to work on Stiles' neck once again. "This house could be all ours."

"With the flowery wallpaper and everything?" he asked, pressing himself against Derek even more.

Derek pressed a leg between Stiles' thighs to help him out. Kindly. "It's vintage."

And Stiles took advantage of that to grind against him. "I think we can find something better suited to our taste."

That earned him a please little hum, hands tightening against Stiles' back.

"A mansion with a room for your hobbies?" Derek suggested. A whole room for his murder board!

"Since it'll just be the two of us for awhile I think a regular sized house will have plenty of room for my hobbies," he said, nipping at Derek's jaw.

Derek sighed, somewhere between annoyed at 'a regular sized house' and turned on by the bite. "That house will be where you want to work."

Since Derek was planning to be an unemployed mooch.

"I though this house was just the one we're going to use for booty calls." He knew that what it was for, Derek!
