A Beach South of Tallahassee, Florida - Saturday Afternoon

So, Florida was warm and wonderful. And Derek hated it so much.

But it made for a nice trip around the damn near deserted FSU campus earlier that day, at least. And now there was a trip to the beach. Because they were in Florida. And it was a trip to the beach or a trip to Disney.

And Derek looked terrible in mouse ears. So.

He sat in the sand, looking surly and unapproachable to people. Which was his default expression after 'tragic and emotionally traumatized'.

"How hard could it be to bury someone in the sand?" he asked.

"You'd need enough sand to keep me buried."

"Well that'd be easy enough if you stayed still." Because that would happen.

Derek's eyebrows went up at that. Because seriously.

Stiles grabbed a handful of sand and lightly tossed it on Derek's stomach. Well there. The burying had begun.

Those eyebrows remained deeply unimpressed. And then Derek was tossing a handful of sand back at him.

Of course Stiles' mouth had been open when that happened. So were some faces and spitting happening after that. "Dude! Gross!"

Aaaaand that was all it took to get Derek to fall back and give a bark of laughter.

He was a horrible person.

"Oh I'm glad my suffering amuses you." Let's be real, if it had happened to Derek Stiles would be laughing for like an hour.

"You started it," Derek shot back, still grinning smirking.

[robinonadderall]

"You're supposed to be the mature one here." So yeah. Stop flirting with a teenager on the beach.

Hey. Hey. He wasn't flirting. He was just. You know. Being happy near Stiles.

For reasons.

"Didn't let you go to a strip club, did I?"

[robinonadderall]

"We could have met some of Mike's friends!" he said. "I have dollar bills I could have given them, it would have been great."

[justlurkinghere]

"You can go when you're eighteen." While Derek glowered and pretended he didn't care.

And threatened people.

"Fine," he said. "Four months from now I get strippers."

[justlurkinghere]

"Enjoy yourself." DEREK WOULD NOT.

[robinonadderall]

"Oh I will." Actually, no. He'd probably get embarrassed and want to die. "I've kind of seen strippers before. Do the cage dangers at The Jungle count as strippers?"

[justlurkinghere]

"No." Because excuse you, Derek had never been a stripper. "That's just dancing."

[robinonadderall]

"They weren't really wearing a lot of clothing though." Like...just tiny underwear. And body oil.

[justlurkinghere]

"Still not stripping," Derek said definitively. "You don't shove dollars at them."

[robinonadderall]

"This is true," he said. "The ones at The Jungle should be paying me dollars for how gropey they get outside of the cages."

Stiles, they weren't groping you. You just attracted gay guys and drag queens who wanted to take you under their wing.

"...what."

[robinonadderall]

"Dude, ask Scott, I can't be in there for more than five seconds before I get drag queens and guys in speedos flocking to me," Stiles said. "I text them all the time."

[justlurkinghere]

"Drag queens and cage dancers," Derek said to confirm this.

[robinonadderall]

"Uh huh," he said with a nod. "They're really nice. Keep giving me tips on what to wear and everything."

Most of it involved women's clothing which Stiles thought was nice, but inappropriate for day to day wear.
