Pinkie popped her head back out of the bag and swallowed. "What?"

"Hooves can't do that."

Pinkie looked at her hoof, then back at him, then back at her hoof. "Shows what you know."

"I know a lot." REALLY. HE WOULD BE THE ALPHA.

"Not about ponies." Which was the only kind of knowledge that mattered.

"Ponies are for girls." OH SNAP.

"Says who?"

"Says me."

[locointhecoco]

"And what does a bear know about ponies?"

[justlurkinghere]

"I'm not a bear! Bears can't talk."

[locointhecoco]

"So? You're a magic bear."

[justlurkinghere]

"Am not!" He was a werewolf!

"Then what are you?"

[justlurkinghere]

"I'm--not a bear." Because he wasn't a human either.

"That's not really an answer," Pinkie pointed out.

"I'm different, okay?" That worked for him.

[locointhecoco]

"Okay," Pinkie agreed readily enough. "But that doesn't tell me why you think you know anything about ponies."

"And you don't know about people." It made sense. "...are you going to stay?"

"Do you want me to?" Pinkie had no idea how anypony was supposed to tell. Social skills were not yet something she had any experience with.

"Of course! It's a sleep over."

Pinkie brightened, her mouth wobbling slightly. "Okay. I will then."

"Jan is using my sleeping bag, but we can probably find you some... thing. Do ponies use blankets?" Derek asked slowly.

Pinkie nodded. "And pillows and things. Do . . . whatevers use pillows?"

[justlurkinghere]

"Of course!" Because ponies and people had so much in common, you could see. "I don't know how many are here, though."
