Still Pretty Creepy Mansion on Phoenix Way, Tuesday Morning

Derek was just not allowed to have a normal week. Though the last few times it had been on the weekends... Not the point! The point is that today he woke up at the tender age of fifteen.

On the day of the full moon.

Which Derek would blame for why he was in the kitchen demolishing all the food they had there.

"I'll say," Stiles said. "I don't know if this is better or worse than little kid Derek."

"Jury's still out on that one," Mike agreed. "I can't even tell if it's good or bad that I'm all normal."

"Would you want to be a teenager again?" Stiles asked. "Were you just as buff back then? 'Cause if you're missing looking like me...don't."

"Nah, it's not that I miss it." He actually really, really didn't for a good number of reasons. "But if I was hit with the weird at least I wouldn't feel in any way weirdly responsible for anyone else."

[robinonadderall]

"Ah, yeah I get that. I feel that way too." Though Stiles felt like he was responsible for everyone the majority of the time. "Tonight's the full moon. I know adult Derek doesn't need looking after but I'm not sure about this one."

"Yeah, I noticed, about the moon." He had them highlighted in his calendar, now. "I don't know the first thing about teenage werewolves, think it's gonna be bad?"

[robinonadderall]

"He can't possibly be worse than my friend Scott. Derek's been doing this his whole life so he should have some control," Stiles assured him. "But I've got mountain ash. I can keep him from getting out, just in case."

Mike nodded. "Could be good. Just in case. At least if it starts looking bad."

Because he was pretty sure Derek wouldn't be impressed with them if he went on a teen wolf rampage and they could've stopped it.

"It'll be fine," Stiles said. "It's way worse with werewolves that weren't born into it. They're the ones that'll go nuts with bloodlust and try to kill you."

"... Is this knowledge from personal experience?"

"Oh yes," Stiles said, nodding. "I've been attacked two--no, three times during a full moon. Twice from my best friend."

"Wow." Yeah, put living with a werewolf into some new perspective, didn't it, Mike? "But Derek's different, right?"

[robinonadderall]

"Older Derek is, yeah. I've never seen him lose it before," he said. "It's teenage Derek I'm not entirely sure about."

"Guess we'll just have to wait and see, then." He was... mostly confident about that. Mostly. "But man, I'm so glad someone else here has more of a clue than I do."

[robinonadderall]

"My life back home is all werewolves all the time," Stiles said. "If you ever have any questions feel free to ask me. I'll be a lot nicer about answering them than Derek."

[newroutines]

"Yeah, I bet." Since Derek's approach was fairly limited to 'stay out of werewolves' way during the full moon'. "I'll keep that in mind, though I'm mostly just doing my best to keep up."

"You're doing fine so far," Stiles assured him. "I mean, you're still alive. So that's good."

"Is that the absolute minimum standard? 'Cause it's not too reassuring."

He looked amused anyway.

"You also haven't run away screaming yet?" Stiles said. "That's another achievement."

[newroutines]

"Also not that shining an achievement but I'll take it," he replied with a chuckle. "Not dead, not screaming, and probably ordering pizza for a teenaged werewolf tonight."

"Get meat lovers," Stiles suggested. "Maybe it'll stave off the bloodlust."

Now you were just teasing him, Stiles.

Mike noticed. "That's just mean." Not really. "See if you get any pizza now."

"Aw that's not fair," he said with a pout. "I was considering that pizza as payment for Derek-sitting."

"Well, shoulda thought of that before," Mike joked. "You're on your own now."
