Apartment Outside of Quantico VA - Wednesday Afternoon

The plan had been to surprise Stiles with a nice (takeout) meal when he got back from his internship. That had been the plan when he arrived.

But now he was picking up around the place and judging Stiles harshly. For someone who lived in a number of abandoned buildings, he sure had some ideas about how clean an apartment should be when not expecting company.

The thing about surprising Stiles was that sometimes he could be the most unobservant person alive, especially when it came to being in his own home. So, no, he didn't notice Derek's car outside nor did he notice that the lights were on.

And, no, he did not even notice the smell of food or Derek cleaning his apartment at first. In his defense, he had headphones in.

These millennials and their noise canceling headphones.

If only he were some sort of creature of the night to sense these things!

But, on the plus side, it allowed Derek to indulge in the time honored tradition of creeping up on him for a scare.

...that was rude, Derek.

And it totally worked as well, considering that he let out a high pitched scream when he turned around to see the creeping in question.

Derek would totally feel bad about that never.

"Hi."

Stiles yanked his headphones out of his ears, dropping his bag to the floor. He had to place a hand on his chest to make sure he wasn't having a heart attack. "I should have never given you a key to this place."

"I brought you food." Did that make up for It? Probably not.

"You also cleaned." Which was weird. His apartment was perfectly clean before. Sort of. Only a few Coke cans sitting out.

There were way more than a few coke cans out, Stiles.

"It was a mess."

"Well that's your opinion." It was probably everybody's opinion save for Scott and select hobos. "But thank you anyway."

Derek rolled his eyes, reaching out to pull him closer for a kiss. "I'm sorry I scared you."

He wasn't really, but he should probably say he was.

"You are not." That didn't stop Stiles from kissing him anyway.

"I'm keeping the thrill alive?" he suggested, tugging on Stiles' shirt.

"By giving me a heart attack?" he asked. "Keep in mind that we'll probably have to stop having sex for awhile if you succeed."

"...we could fix your diet if heart disease is a worry." HE'D DO IT TOO, STILES.

"My diet is fine." Unless Derek had took a glance into the trash can and saw all the McDonalds bags in there.

Derek just sniffed the air and raised his eyebrows at that.

Stiles rolled his eyes. "Oh yeah like you got us vegan food for dinner."

"I could order some," Derek offered. "I have that phone app."

He downloaded UberEats and was patiently waiting for Stiles to set it up for him.

"Aww, I'm proud of you," he said, kissing Derek again. "You're acting like a millennial now."

Derek preened a little at that despite himself. "Next time I'll bring you vegan food."

Because it'd be a shame to waste the BBQ he picked up.

"So what do I owe this visit?" he asked, looping his arm around Derek's neck.

[justlurkinghere]

"Moon made me antsy," he replied, kissing him again. Super blue blood moon... thing. Perks of being with a werewolf. "Wanted to see you."

"Ah, that second moon of the month," Stiles murmured. "Almost forgot about that."

"Should I make your calender with the special moons?" Derek asked, tilting his head to inhale deeply against the crook of Stiles' neck.

"Are you gonna make me a custom calendar?" he asked, moving his head to give Derek more room. "With pictures of the dog? Or of you naked?"
