Somewhere In Nebraska, Saturday Morning

Drive across the country, they said. It'll be fun, they said. It was lies. Derek had driven across the country with Laura and had it been at any time but too soon after the fire, they would have murdered each other.

Why he thought it would have been a good idea to accompany Stiles back to Beacon Hills after his first year of college was over... it was possibly a good bit of delusion that this would end somewhere other than being terrible.

Case in point, the god awful jeep of Stiles was overheated and needed to sit to cool. In the middle of Nebraska. God, Derek hated the midwest.

"We could go look at the largest tractor in three counties," Derek said, looking at one of the faded pamphlets of local activities he'd found.

It was a mystery!

Derek smiled, kissing Stiles again. He moved his hands down to hold onto Stiles' thighs to help wrap them around his waist.

Again, he was a giver.

Stiles took the oh so subtle hint and wrapped his legs around Derek as he kissed him. His hands found their way into Derek's hair, mussing it up as best he could.

Hey! He wouldn't even have access to a decent mirror to fix that in the morning! Or a shower. Oh, they really should have invested in those cleaning wipes.

Derek had no problem with the situation other than that. He kissed Stiles back, running his hands up to Stiles' hips and then to his ass for a totally subtle squeeze.

He was the kind of subtlety.

It was going to be an uncomfortable crusty morning for sure.

But that was easy to ignore right now with the kissing and the squeezing. "Please tell me we got the bag with the lube in it from the jeep."

"Pocket of my jeans," Derek muttered, turning his head to he could bite at Stiles' collarbone. As long as Stiles kept a shirt on, it shouldn't be seen.

Which was sad for Derek. So sad.

Stiles huffed. "You've been keeping lube in your jeans all day?"

"Only since Walmart." That made it better.

Stiles smiled before kissing Derek again. "Awfully presumptuous of you."

"Would you rather have to go to the jeep right now?" Derek asked, nipping at Stiles' lip once that kiss was broken.

"No," he said. "You're just cute, so I need to mention it."

"College has made you into a monster," Derek replied dryly. It was the only possible answer!

"Me going to college has made you into a softy," Stiles replied. "Even more of a softy."

A softy who kept lube in his jeans, sure.

"Slander," Derek replied, eyes going red. "I'm terrifying still."

Stiles grinned. "I'm not scared at all."

Derek growled playfully, probably scaring off the raccoon and possum population for about a mile around them. "Maybe you've been away too long."

Yeah, clearly they never saw each other.

"You're ridiculous," he said, shaking his head.

...accurate.

"I thought I was cute," Derek replied, reaching for his jeans.

"Cute and ridiculous," Stiles said, leaning up to lick at Derek's nipple. To help him out while he was grabbing the lube.

Helpful. Sure. That's what that was.

Derek sighed, giving him a look for that before dropping the bottle on Stiles' chest. They were so going to ruin those sleeping bags.

Stiles lifted his eyebrows. "So I have to do all the prep work?"

"Or you could hold onto that," Derek replied, scooting down as much as the tent allowed so he could settle between Stiles' legs.

"I can do that," he said, spreading his legs a little more.

"You sure?" Derek teased, running his hands along the inside of Stiles' thighs. "Won't lose it?"

"I can keep track of it," he said. "I promise."

Derek hummed in disbelief as he leaned down to lick a line along Stiles' dick. "We'll see."
