Jack was in the somewhat embarrassing position of having slept longer than anyone else. So now he was naked and chained up -- and among near strangers on top of it.
He sat up, shifting his position on the floor so his more intimate bits were concealed in shadow, and then gratefully grabbed for the handcuff key sitting neatly on top of his folded clothes.
He was still zipping his pants when he stepped closer to the group.
"Looks like we all made it through again," he said, meaning it more cheerfully than it sounded.
