Derek had woken up at his normal time despite the holiday, wandering down to the kitchen to make coffee for the day. Because coffee.

And the fact that gift giving had been banned for financial reasons. Which was just ridiculous.

So, instead, he was going to make bacon. A lot of bacon. Hopefully that would lure Stiles out of bed.

"We picked a good one." A beat. "Way better than most of our beds."

"The one upstairs has managed to survive."
