It's Creepy Because the Eclipse is all Red Mansion, Late Monday night/Early Tuesday morning

It was another complete lunar eclipse, one that would actually be perfectly placed for north and south America to view it. Which meant about 4 hours of lazy 'not turning into a werewolf' fun times.

Oh, and the special brownies. For people who are adults. So, Derek, Jack and maybe Mike. If Mike felt like putting up with lazy werewolves again.

"We have to," Jack agreed, and broke off a bit of brownie with his fingers. "These are fantastic, by the way. New recipe?"

"Peanut butter," Derek replied, grabbing another for himself before leaning against Jack. For reasons. "Stiles likes them. Without the drugs. I'm not giving my boyfriend drugs."

"Good idea," Jack said, leaning back and closing his eyes. Also for reasons. "You should next time, though. Bet he''d be funny stoned."

"He gets grabby." Which wasn't okay. Not okay at all, Vicodin.

"Then don't do it in front of me," Jack decided. "Unless you want me to join in, and I don't think either of you do."

"He said no on the survey," Derek replied thoughtfully. "He gave me a survey."

"You did a survey about having sex with me?"

No, Jack. Just no.

He might accidentally rip someone's arm off.

"Oh. They aren't bad," Jack said thoughtfully. "A little crowded, but ... warm."

Jack was starting to feel rather warm himself, as it happened, or he wouldn't have shared this.

Jack waved a hand vaguely. "Enough. Two or so."

It depended on how you counted ones where a vampire was involved.

"Why is Stiles surveying you about it?"

"Graduation," Derek said like that explained it. And then pet at Jack's hair. It was the tried and true method Hales being nice to people.

That was an I don't understand that sorry, not a graduation is bad sorry. Jack was into minimalist sentences at the moment. (Also, the hair-patting thing made him make a noise close to a purr.)

"We're not doing anything until after."

"Mmmmm." That ... probably required more words, didn't it? Jack shifted his weight to sit up slightly.

"That's good," he said uncertainly. "Give you something to look forward to, all of that."

Jack shrugged, tried for a more honest answer. "I'm trying to be supportive. I couldn't do it. But if it's right for you, who am I to judge?"

Derek frowned, curling slightly around Jack. Because of reasons again. "He doesn't seem to annoyed by it."

"What's he going to do, pin you down and force himself upon you?" Jack asked, smiling a bit to take the sting out of it. "Besides, you're a teacher and he's a student. Better to wait that out."

"He could find someone who didn't need to wait," Derek muttered.

"But he likes you," Jack returned. "Let him."

Derek muttered nothing particularly coherent as he used Jack's shoulder to rest his head on.

Jack murmured back and let his hand wander up to touch Derek's hair. Stoned wolves were cuddly wolves. "I like you too, all right?"

It seemed like something Derek needed to hear sometimes.

Because sometimes he did. "I like you too," he muttered, apparently turning Jack into his teddy bear.

"Thanks," Jack said, and his smile was genuine. He must have needed to hear it too.
