The house Derek woke up this time wasn't as dilapidated or creepy as the last one. Which was a definite plus.

And there was still the puff ball dog! Another plus.

The biggest plus, however? Fully stocked fridge.

So, with the puff ball dog tucked carefully into one of the flannel shirts he'd found upstairs, Derek was digging through the stuff to make himself a sandwich. Sorry about stealing all the lunch meat, Mike.

"That actually doesn't explain it," Mike said. "But okay. If you're hungry, you should eat. That's cool. You got everything you need?"

"Laura says it's like PMS and we all get grumpy and cravings." Laura got him in trouble with these things being repeated.

Mike might have laughed more if it had come from anyone but Laura. As it was, it was just a quiet chuckle.

"Well uh, I can't say I have any experience with either, so I'll have to take your word for it."

"Are you staying for it?"

He shrugged. "Probably? I'm pretty used to it by now."

"Stiles is going to be there," he offered. Without actually confirming it with Stiles.

"Sounds about right." Even without knowing what the narrative said. "Jackson's probably coming too. He usually does."

Grudgingly.

"Good! Maybe he'll be nicer if we do something fun."

LIKE BUILD A BLANKET FORT.

"How many pillows do you have?"

"I don't know." He really didn't. "What d'you need them for?"

"No reason." SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR PILLOWS AND BLANKETS.

Hey, Mike was perfectly willing to go out and buy some extra ones for this purpose! Because Derek was rarely excited or happy about anything and he wanted to encourage that. Shush.

"Uh huh," he said, amused. "Well, I'm pretty sure we have some around."

"Cool." The entire living room would be turned into a tent by tomorrow evening.
